The fifth and sixth remote training session on improving public transportation operations in Belgrade was held.

Training sessions in Japan in support of the Project had been planned in 2021, but due to the global spread of COVID-19 and the logistics challenges it posed, six remote training sessions were organized as a replacement. The fifth and sixth remote training sessions were held in October 2022.

In the fifth remote training session, Tokyu Bus Corporation, one of Japan's bus operators, gave a presentation on the following topics:

  • Operation Plan Department of Tokyu Bus
  • Operation Plan Formulation Method
  • Composition of Operation Plan in Tokyu Bus
  • System for Bus Operation

The sixth remote training session, also from Tokyu Bus Corporation, consisted of presentations on the following topics:

  • Operation Management System in Japan
  • Operation Management in Tokyu Bus
  • Monitoring

More than 20 staffs from Secretariat for Public Transport of Belgrade (SfPT) participated in each remote training session, learning about operational planning methods and systems and operations management that have actually been adopted in Japan.

SfPT will continue its efforts to improve public transportation operations in Belgrade by incorporating the knowledge gained from these specific initiatives in Japan.
