Signing ceremony

The signing ceremony of “the Project on strengthening the Training System for Improving Capacity of Frontline Officers of Vietnam Customs” was held at General Department of Vietnam Customs on Sep.30th 2009 with the attendance of representative of Ministry of Finance, JICA and others. In the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duong Thai, Deputy Director General, appreciated Japanese technical assistance and spoke of his strong devotion to achieve project targets. And Mr. Tsuno, Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam office, hoped the project activities will improve the customs administration in Vietnam. Through the activities of the project, the outcomes of the project will be attained as follows;

1. The training system for frontline officers will be strengthened,
2. The system for collecting and sharing information which is necessary for proper customs administration will be enhanced,
3. The system for providing and sharing information which is useful for stakeholders will be enhanced.
