Visit of the delegate of four institutions

On Jan. 25th 2011, the delegates of four institutions – Japan Customs, Asian Development Bank(ADB), JICA and World Customs Organization - visited Vietnam Customs to exchange views on the future direction of program under the cooperative framework of four institutions in the field of trade facilitation. In the meeting between Vietnam Customs and Four Institutions, delegate of ADB explained the Japan's new initiative through ADB for customs modernization and trade facilitation project in Asia up to US$ 25million in 5 years. He also added that under the Japanese initiative, assistance will be focus on ASEAN countries for the time being. After presentation of Vietnam Customs on the outline of the strategy of customs reform and modernization, the delegates discussed on the future direction of programs under the cooperative framework to meet the necessity of Vietnam Customs.
