Based on the Exchange of Note signed between Japanese Government and Vietnamese Government on project for reinforcement of Customs Functions at Hai Phong Port, Japanese Government agreed to grant Large Scale X-ray Inspection System and related facility to Vietnam. As the installation of the system has been completed, JICA conducted probative running test on its performance and confirmed the system is working well. And we observed the training course for the customs officials provided by the manufacturer of the system, Rapiscan Systems of USA. After the completion of the X-ray scanner facilities, Government of Japan will hand over the facilities to Government of Vietnam.
