Site survey in Da Nang Customs

Project working members and JICA experts visited Da Nang Customs on March 8th and 9th 2011 to inspect the situation of providing and sharing information which is useful for traders. In the meeting with executive officers of the customs on March 8th, Da Nang customs officials described that they have achieved a close relationship with stakeholders through the routines of everyday work as the number of traders in Da Nang is small. On March 9th, the members visited Customs Branch Office of Hao Khanh-Lien Chien Industrial Zone to have an interview about information sharing with stakeholders. The customs branch office organizes a meeting between customs and enterprises in the industrial zone to facilitate the customs procedures and environment for export/import when needed. And they mentioned that their customs are always keeping their communication channel open for stakeholders. After having discussion with the customs officials of the customs, members visited Japanese manufacturer in Industrial Zone to have information on customs services. To reply to the questions made by members, Japanese manufacturer commented that the customs is generally supportive and willing to provide customs service timely.
