The launching ceremony at the project pilot provinces

In the 2011 financial year, the four pilot provinces of Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and An Giang have selected 30% of the districts of each province, and 100% of the communes of the selected districts for implementation of the Maternal and Child Health handbook (MCH handbook). The pregnant women and mothers who have children under 1 year old should receive the MCH handbook and start using it.

From January to March 2012, the four Project management Units (PMUs) were conducted the launching ceremony in each province. The provincial authority and representatives from the relevant sectors and organizations, as well as representatives of the pilot districts for this year were invited to the ceremony. During the ceremony, there were presentations about project outline and MCH handbook, explanation on the provincial project plan and discussion on the implementing MCH handbook.

Provincial Mass Media were also invited to the ceremony and the information about the ceremony was made widely known to the public in each province.

Then, the MCH handbook will be provided to the pregnant women and mothers who have children under 1 year old from March. As you see, the MCH handbook will be in real using in the 4 provinces soon.
