In the morning of March 22, 2010, the First Joint Coordinating Committee as well as the project's kick-off meeting was held in Da Lat. It was attended by a total of 52 participants, including the Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People Committee, a representative of JICA Vietnam office, and Director and staff member of Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park, and stakeholders of the project. Speeches were made by the Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and representative of JICA Vietnam office, followed by a report of activities since the project started in January till March, annual plan of operation for this year, the Record of Discussion (R/D) and Project Design Matrix (PDM), and the project's activity plan for this year was officially approved.
