Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) in five target villages

The project worked with a Nong Lam University team (NLU) and the project Working Group members to conduct Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) in five target villages. The aim of PRA was to identify appropriate collaborative management models and to enhance the participation of local villagers, focusing on: agriculture-based livelihoods; and non-agriculture livelihoods, forest resource management; and land use inside the national park. In Da Nhim commune, improving management of coffee crop was suggested and in Lat commune and Lac Duong town, improving coffee production and mitigating overuse of agrochemicals in commercial vegetables were suggested. Developing eco-tourism and locally-made products were also recommended in these target villages.
