The business consultation meetings about VNACCS were held between General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) and business communities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on 3rd and 6th November 2015 respectively, in collaboration with US Agency for International Development (USAID), and JICA. This business dialogue aimed at directly listening to views of business communities concerning evaluation of, problems on, and improvement requests for VNACCS, reflecting it operation for one and a half year. While JICA Technical Cooperation (TC) Project reviews requests for improvement of VNACCS from the private sector users under its Output 1 (A direction of future course of action for enhancing the utilization of VNACCS is identified), the Governance for Inclusive Growth (GIG) Program of USAID supports Customs reform through Customs-Business dialogues. Against this backdrop, these business consultation meetings were co-hosted as a consequence of donor coordination.

The meetings were attended by representatives of many companies and organizations engaging in import / export business.

Firstly, GDVC explained the overview of VNACCS and problems they currently had, then move on to consultation with the business communities, where various comments and suggestions. At the dialogue in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Vu Ngoc Anh, Deputy Director General of GDVC, gave speech to the attendees. On behalf of JICA, Chief Advisor of TC Project delivered opening remarks and briefed JICA's support for VNACCS at both meetings.
