From 19 to 25 April 2016, a total of nine short-term experts from Japan visited Hanoi. At the headquarters of General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC), following the consultation during the previous mission, they had a series of meetings with GDVC officials concerned, including those from Customs Control and Supervision Department and Customs IT and Statistics Department, in order to discuss measures for enhancing the utilization of each function of VNACCS and to review the requests from both customs and private sector for the improvement of VNACCS. Also, at the headquarters of Ministry of Transportation (MOT), together with GDVC officials, they had a consultation with MOT officials concerned on possible use of VNACCS for arrival and departure procedure for aircraft.

This is the third mission of short-term experts for achieving Output 1 of the Project, "Identification of a direction of future course of action for enhancing the utilization of VNACCS". More detailed measures will be considered in due course, based on the result of activities during this mission.
