5th Short-term experts Mission for Enhancing Utilization of VNACCS

From 1 to 9 August 2016, a total of eleven short-term experts from Japan visited Hanoi. At the headquarters of General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC), they had a series of meetings with GDVC officials concerned, including those from Customs Control and Supervision Department and Customs IT and Statistics Department, in order to review the draft study report which summarizes the discussions made during the past several months concerning measures for enhancing the utilization of each function of VNACCS and possible ways to realize the requests from both customs and private sector for the improvement of VNACCS. Also, continuing from the previous mission, the short-term experts briefed the functions of Nippon Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System (NACCS), which have not been equipped in VNACCS yet.

This is the fifth mission of short-term experts for achieving Output 1 of the Project, "Identification of a direction of future course of action for enhancing the utilization of VNACCS". Reflecting the previous discussions, the study report will be completed in due course.
