From 23 to 25 February 2018, short-term experts (IT Assistance Mission) from Japan visited Hanoi. They had a series of meetings with General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) officials from Customs IT and Statistics Department, in order to discuss the improvement of security for the current system infrastructure and new scheme for rapid modification of the software. Furthermore, the short-term experts joined the system security enhancement implemented by GDVC on 24 and 25 February, and gave them some operational advice.

These activities are the 18th missions of short-term experts for achieving Output 1 of the Project, "Identification of a direction of future course of action for enhancing the utilization of VNACCS". The continuous consideration will be conducted, on the basis of the result of the discussion during the mission.
