From 5 to 6 April 2018, short-term experts (IT Assistance Mission) from Japan visited Hanoi. They had a series of meetings with General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) officials concerned, including those from Customs IT and Statistics Department, Risk Management Department, Import-Export Duty Department, and other related departments, in order to discuss the final report of the technical cooperation activities since July 2017 conducted by Japanese consultant, new scheme for rapid modification of the software based on law amendment, and cost estimation for modification of the software. Furthermore, on 8 April 2018, with the presence of long-term experts, GDVC released VNACCS software, which was modified at the OJT training between November 2017 and January 2018, to the production environment, receiving support from operation and maintenance (O&M) vendors.

These activities are the 20th missions of short-term experts for achieving Output 1 of the Project, "Identification of a direction of future course of action for enhancing the utilization of VNACCS". The continuous actions will be taken, on the basis of the result of the discussion during the mission.
