On 14 June 2018, the seventh Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) of the Project was held at the headquarters of General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) in Hanoi. For GDVC, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tai, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department, and the members of Project Management Unit (PMU) participated in the meeting. For Japan side, staff from JICA Headquarters and Vietnam Office, three long-term experts assigned to the Project, officials from Japan Custom and a secretary of Japan Embassy in Vietnam joined the meeting.

At the meeting, the participants from JICA expert and GDVC reported the outcome of the project activities and the remaining issues of each Output. Throughout the activities of the past three years, the project goals have been almost achieved and the project experts will finish their assignment in the end of June; however, since there are some remaining issues such as hardware renewal, JICA Vietnam Office and GDVC are going to monitor the progress of the issues periodically.
