As part of its capacity building support, the Project organizes in-house seminars to offer learning opportunities from other country experiences in conjunction with climate experts' visits to Vietnam.

On 23rd April, 2015, the Project invited a delegate from Malaysia, and Professor Ho Chin Siong of University of Technology Malaysia offered a lecture to share Malaysia's experience on developing Iskandar City's Low Carbon Society Blue Print. The seminar highlighted the importance of science-based planning utilizing projection models and target setting, various efforts to invite engagement of and to win support from both high level decision makers, as well as proactive communication to disseminate both lessons and outputs.

On 12th November, 2012, Mr.Makoto Kato, a Principal Researcher of Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan was invited to share experience on developing Bangkok Climate Change Master Plan of Thailand. Participants exchanged over a wide spectrum of topics related to the process and steps, including, inter alia, coordination and demarcation between line ministries and local government over administrative jurisdiction of the master plan, treatment of market-based instruments and carbon credits, burden sharing mechanism and appropriate indictors to achieve defined emission reduction target.
