Ms. Hitomi Kurosu, long-term expert and Dr. Dang Thi Van Trang, Deputy Head of the Infection Control Department attended the 30th International Congress of Chemotherapy and Infection 2017 (ICC 2017), which was held in Taipei City from November 24 to 27.

There were joint sessions with the Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) and the Taiwan Society of Microbiology. It was very useful to obtain the latest information in this field. The conference included 93 verbal presentations and more than 1,200 poster presentations by the participants from across the world. Dr. Trang also had the opportunity to give an oral presentation.

Dr. Trang gave a presentation on the subject of "Effectiveness of Anti-Bacterial Linen in Prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections" in front of a lot of audience at the oral session.

The Project gave her full support for this presentation. She and the experts held meetings many times and had several rehearsals in preparation for this presentation. Dr. Trang completed the big role successfully and advertised the cooperation between Cho Ray Hospital and JICA.

The 9th International Congress of the Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC 2019) will be held in Viet Nam on March 19-22, 2019. Dr. Le Thi Anh Thu, Head of the Infection Control Department, Cho Ray Hospital will take the chair. The Infection Control Department at Cho Ray Hospital will play a leading role in the conference, and Dr. Trang will be expected to take advantage of this experience.
