As a hospital under the direct control of the Ministry of Health, Cho Ray Hospital is mandated to provide instruction and guidance for improving the medical level of provincial hospitals in 25 provinces in southern Viet Nam (including Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho City). This system is called "Direction of Healthcare Activities (DOHA)".
One of the activities of the Project is to revise the clinical manuals and textbooks for improving the abilities of instruction and training by Cho Ray Hospital as part of DOHA.
The Project had already completed revising the textbook of Hematology in December last year. Following that, the instructional videos of Ultrasound Diagnosis were also completed. Dr. Le Thanh Toan, deputy head of Ultrasound Department, Cho Ray Hospital gave demonstrations and explanations in the videos.
Dr. Hiroshi Ohara, chief adviser of the Project presented the DVD of the videos to Dr. Nguyen Truong Son, director of Cho Ray Hospital on June 13.
The DVD copies will be handed out to the participants of DOHA training.
