First visit to Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City (PI-HCMC) and discussion about BSL-3 laboratories
The project stakeholders meeting was organized on August 31, 2017 at PI HCMC. One of the major objectives of JICA-NIHE Phase 3 Project is setting up a BSL-3 laboratory in PI-HCMC. Detailed discussion was mainly conducted by Dr. Shinohara and Dr. Miki. Experts took the initiative and discussed the latest version of design drawing. In another result, 5 PCPMs(Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine) (Tay Ninh, Ben Tre, Binh Duong, Kieng Giang and Ba Ria Vung Tau) were selected as sites for strengthening the capacity of laboratory network which is one of the project activities. In previous phase, the project set up mobile BSL-3 laboratory in PIHCMC.
