Helicobacter pylori (Hp) detection training course which is one of activities to strengthen the capacity of laboratory network was organized for three days during 8-10 August, 2018 in Quang Ninh CDC. The training course was conducted by Japanese expert, Dr. Osaki came from Kyorin university and NIHE staffs with the participation of 12 trainees who are the laboratory staffs from 5 Nothern PCPMs/CDCs, including 4 staffs from Quang Ninh CDC, 1 staff from Ha Giang PCPM and 2 staffs from each other PCPMs/CDCs. In the training course, cultivation of Hp and some biochemical tests, serological diagnostic test and PCR method were conducted for detection. It was also a good opportunity to communicate closely among PCPMs/CDCs and between PCPMs/CDCs and NIHE. Although Hp is not hazardous infectious pathogen, participants were interested in the detection from their own stools because Hp is considered to be high risk factor for stomach ulcer or cancer.
