The second Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting was held on 14 August 2020 at the conference room of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC). The participants of the Viet Nam side are Vice Minister of MIC, Deputy Director General of AIS, and other project members. And those of the Japanese side are Japan Embassy's 1st Secretary, Senior representative and staff member of JICA Viet Nam Office, officer in charge in JICA HQs, and Project Experts. JICA headquarters and some of the office staff participated online. Mr. Nguyễn Thành Hưng, Vice Minister of MIC, is the Chairperson of JCC.

At the meeting, the JICA Expert and AIS reported the project's progress so far and discussed activity plans for the project.

The project, which was originally scheduled to end in November 2021, was extended to March 2022 to include new activities such as security product evaluations, new awareness raising activities, and an information-sharing system.
