First Joint Coordination Committee Meeting was held.

The first Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting was organized by MBFP on 4 March 2022, and all the related agencies, such as MARD, MONRE, the target Provinces, the Embassy of Japan, JICA Vietnam office, and the Japanese experts, attended the meeting.

Considering the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Hanoi, the number of participants were kept minimum, and they took protective measures, while many others attended the meeting online.

The representative from MBFP and the Japanese experts presented the achievements in the Japanese fiscal year 2021 (until March 2022) and discussed the plan for 2022. In 2021, the Project completed most of the planned activities with the disbursement higher than the original plan. JICA Viet Nam office appreciated the strong support from the counterpart agencies and the four target Provinces to implement the project activities despite the pandemic. The Vietnamese side also appreciated JICA's support and reaffirmed further cooperation in implementing the project activities.

In FY2022, the SNRM2 activities will focus on the SFM planning and its implementation in the four target Provinces (Hoa Binh, Son La, Lao Cai and Tuyen Quang). Due to the pandemic, the representatives from the Provinces attended online, but they proactively exchanged their views.
