On November 9, an opinion exchange meeting on quality management of patent examination was held in online format with the cooperation of the Quality Management Office of the Japan Patent Office (JPO).

Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IP Viet nam) has been establishing a quality control system for patent examinations with the cooperation of JICA. The purpose of this meeting was for IP Viet nam to report on the progress of the pilot project and to obtain knowledge from JPO to deal with issues for the full-scale introduction of the system.

The JPO introduced the quality control system for patent examinations and an overview of the results of the user satisfaction survey on the quality of examinations published in October, and both sides engaged in a lively exchange of opinions. Both sides actively exchanged opinions and shared their recognition of the importance of enhancing the quality control system and improving quality from the user's viewpoint.

In this project, we will continue our efforts to introduce quality control of patent examination in IP Viet nam and improve user satisfaction.
