Training on Traffic Enforcement Equipment

2007 May 21 - 22.Within the framework of technical cooperation project, JICA provided traffic enforcement equipment for TRAHUD Project to train its counterpart staff. Training on usage of “speed-gun” and “alcohol detector” was conducted at the Project Office in Hanoi Traffic Signal Control Center. One-day training course was conducted for 2 times with participation of total 64 officers (54 traffic policemen and 10 traffic inspectors). In the morning sessions, participants learn about speed-gun and in the afternoon sessions, they learn about alcohol detector.

Capacity development on law enforcement against overspeeding and drunk driving is part of activities of the Model Police Station Project which is one of the subcomponents of TRAHUD in the second year. Following this, actual enforcement is implemented after site training.
