Signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Export-Import Bank of Korea, Economic Development Cooperation Fund (KEXIM-EDCF): Promoting collaboration on ODA projects

On November 24, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Export-Import Bank of Korea, Economic Development Cooperation Fund (KEXIM-EDCF). The signing took place between JICA President Tanaka Akihiko and KEXIM Chairman and President Yoon Hee-Sung at JICA Headquarters in Tokyo.
The two parties exchanged views on the importance of the development of the Indo-Pacific region and collaboration between JICA and the EDCF. They also confirmed that they will continue deepening mutual understanding through the further exchange of information and views.
JICA and the EDCF had already been collaborating on co-financing projects in Asia and Africa, and the signing of the MoC is expected to promote further partnerships, such as those forged through project co-financing, as well as to enable more effective development cooperation.
