Signing of Record of Discussions on Technical Cooperation Projects for Bangladesh: Contributing to the promotion of the clean city through improving waste management and developing air quality management capacity

On July 8, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Dhaka, for “Project for Waste Reduction and Support for Building a Sustainable Society” and “The Project for the Capacity Improvement for Air Quality Control”, technical cooperation projects.

The capacity for waste reduction and appropriate waste management according to the conditions of the target cities (Dhaka South City, Dhaka North City, Chattogram City) will be improved, and the knowledge and lessons learned concerned solid waste management will be served as a model for waste management in cities across the country.
