Signing of Grant Agreement with Bangladesh:Supporting action against severe air pollution

On February 3, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of Bangladesh in the capital city Dhaka, to provide grant aid for the Project for the Improvement of Equipment for Air Pollution Monitoring.

The objective of the Project is to enhance the capacity to measure and analyze air pollutants derived mainly from vehicle emissions in capital city Dhaka and Chattogram by/through setting up Continuous Air Monitoring Stations (CAMS), thereby contributing to the enhancement of air pollution control capacity.
