Video Release: NHK WORLD–JAPAN Program Featuring Memorial Symposium Held for the Late Ogata Sadako

The JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development (JICA Ogata Research Institute) hosted an online symposium entitled “Embracing Human Security in Meeting Global Challenges in the COVID-19/Post-COVID-19 Era” on Nov.2, 2020. The event served to commemorate the life of Ogata Sadako, former JICA president and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. NHK WORLD–JAPAN featured the symposium in the program "Human Security in the COVID19 Era–OGATA Sadako Memorial Symposium," which can be watched on the JICA Ogata Research Institute YouTube channel.

The program, aired on Dec. 11, 2020, highlighted Ogata's achievements and shed light on the importance of focusing on human security amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
