JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development (JICA Ogata Research Institute) published a book titled, “For the World’s Profit: How Business Can Support Sustainable Development ,” in January 2025, as a result of the Joint Study with Brookings Institution on "For the World’s Profit: How Business Can Support Sustainable Development" .”

This book, edited by scholars at the Brookings Institution and the JICA Ogata Research Institute, argues that the world is at a key juncture for considering how the targeted pursuit of business profits can better add up to the world’s profit, broadly defined. It brings together a remarkable array of distinguished corporate, investor, government, academic, and nonprofit perspectives to reflect on the issues.
