On May 19, 2026, Kim Jungwook, Executive Director, and Lah Junghyun, Senior Fellow, from the Center for International Development (CID) at the Korea Development Institute (KDI), visited the JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development (JICA Ogata Research Institute) for an exchange of views.

During the visit, participants discussed knowledge sharing on development cooperation experiences, co-creation of knowledge with emerging partners, and research trends in new priority areas such as AI, against the backdrop of evolving global conditions in international cooperation.

Looking ahead, both institutes aim to further strengthen practical collaboration through initiatives such as joint seminars.

JICA Ogata Research Institute will continue to deepen its collaboration with research institutions in Japan and abroad, with the aim of becoming a leading global hub for research on development and international cooperation.
