Ms. Priscilla Darby, a Planning Officer in the Policy, Planning & Research Division at the National Energy Authority (NEA), participated in the Knowledge Co-Creation Program (KCCP) titled “Energy Policy” held in Japan from 22nd June to 19th July 2025.

Throughout the program, she engaged in lectures, discussions with participants from around the world, and site visits. These experiences deepened her understanding of key concepts such as scenario planning for resilient energy policy, data-driven decision-making, and the importance of market interventions in unlocking the potential of renewable energy. She also explored the role of community-based projects in ensuring long-term sustainability, among other critical themes in energy policy.

Upon returning to Papua New Guinea, Ms. Darby is committed to applying the knowledge and skills gained through the KCCP to support NEA in advancing its Corporate Plan. Her dedication and enthusiasm exemplify the spirit of the program.
