During the COVID-19 pandemic, each country government took various response to reduce adverse social, health and economic impact. Cambodia Government immediately prepared the Master Plan for COVID-19 response and implemented a comprehensive response to manage the situation under the health systems underprepared for the pandemic by a whole-of-government approach.

JICA has been providing various support to Cambodia including two phases of budget support for the COVID-19 crisis response in 2020 and 2022 in collaboration with the ADB.

Three years after the pandemic, the government of Cambodia is moving forward with reforms to build a resilient and sustainable society for the future.

In this seminar, we will hear from the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health and the Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance(MEF), who have played a central role in Cambodia's response to COVID-19 pandemic, about how the two ministries have collaboratively implemented health investment in the different phase of the pandemic, and how it observes health investment and its return for the future of Cambodia and the coordination of the MEF and MoH.

The webinar is intended primarily for health policy makers, development partners, Japanese citizens.
