Announcing the Publication of 'Peace and Development in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines—The Long Road to Peace through Trust'

The JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development (JICA Ogata Research Institute) has been publishing a “Project History Series” that chronicles the trajectories and results of the institute’s projects. Among 26 Japanese-language installments published in this series so far, "Peace and Development in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines—The Long Road to Peace through Trust" is the second work translated into English for reaching a wider international audience.

This publication provides an overview of the history of the armed struggle on Mindanao Island in the Philippines and explains how the Japanese government and JICA contributed to a peaceful resolution.

The publication can be downloaded in a PDF format at the link mentioned below. The JICA Ogata Research Institute will continue to publish English-language texts as part of this series.
