The JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development publishes working papers on the results of its research projects with the aim of stimulating active discussion. In March 2021, the Institute published Working Paper No. 219.

Working Paper No. 219, "Impacts of the Interest Rate Ceiling on Microfinance Sector in Cambodia: Evidence from a Household Survey," written by Sovannroeun Samreth, Aiba Daiju and Sothearoath Oeur Vanndy Vat, is based on the results of the research project "Study on the Promotion of Financial Inclusion: The Case of Cambodia." This paper analyzes the effects of the imposition of an interest rate ceiling in the microfinance sector in Cambodia in 2017.
