Publication of Policy Note No. 8 'Interest Rate Cap Policy in Cambodia — Summary of Findings from a Survey and the Policy Implications'

The JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development has published policy note No. 8 “Interest Rate Cap Policy in Cambodia — Summary of Findings from a Survey and Policy Implications.” The note was written by Aiba Daiju, Sovannroeun Samreth, Vandy Phal and Sothearoath Oeur as a result of the Institute’s research project “Study on the Promotion of Financial Inclusion: The Case of Cambodia.”

This policy note summarizes the results of a survey that investigated the impact of the Cambodian interest rate cap policy, which was newly introduced to the Cambodian microfinance sector in April 2017.
