JICA Ogata Research Institute Introduces a New Logo

2022.06.01

JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development has designed and introduced a new logo to strengthen its brand identity.

JICA Research Institute, founded in October 2008 through the initiative of the late Ogata Sadako, the president of JICA at the time, changed its name to JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development (abbreviated “JICA Ogata Research Institute”) in April 2020. For this logo, we therefore chose a design that combines the letters O and S—the initials of the late Ogata Sadako—to make up the letter Q to represent research questions, which are the core of the institute’s research activities. The logo will be used during future events hosted by the institute and in materials to present or distribute its research outcomes.

With the aim to increase Japan’s intellectual presence within the global community by conducting policy-oriented research on challenges developing countries face at the frontline, JICA Ogata Research Institute will further enhance its research and dissemination activities.
