Risk communication meetings were organized on 5 occasions in Rayong during February and April 2015. The meetings mainly focused on PRTR data disclosure and risk communication with the public. Officials from the Pollution Control Department (PCD) presented the PRTR data for the pilot project in Rayong province, such as an overview of PRTR, how to use PRTR data book, data disclosure and risk communication.

Another remarkable session observed in the meetings was a discussion by each group of participants about chemical substance awareness and how to manage/reduce them. During the discussion, chemical advisors explained about chemicals and risks with an extensive Q&A session. After discussion in groups, the participants actively presented suggestions from their groups. All suggestions obtained in those meetings will be taken into consideration when developing the final design of PRTR system.
