Study for Master Plan for Promoting the Mining Industry in Albania

• Project objective: To clarify a roadmap to realize sustainable development of mining industry under privatization and market-oriented economic reform in the final report

• Executing Organization : Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy, National Agency of Natural Resources, and Albanian Geological Survey
• Activities
  • To collect and to analyze necessary information and data on policies and development plans, legal systems, status of investments and trading, and relating authorities on mining sector as well as other development sectors.
  • To formulate a master plan for 10 years, mineral-specific development strategies, and action plans
  • To design Geographical Information System (GIS) database for mineral reserve and resources
  • To hold annual workshop and international seminars outside Albania
  • To carry out On-job training for counterpart personnel through the study
