The Official Inauguration Ceremony of the Water Supply System in Kampot

Samdach Akka Moha Sena Padei Decho HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Hidehisa HORINOUCHI, Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, presided over the Inauguration Ceremony of the Expansion of Water Supply System in Kampot on Tuesday, April 2nd 2019.

The new facilities of Kampot Waterworks were constructed by the Project for Expansion of Water Supply System in Kampot under the grant aid scheme of Japan with the amount of 2,985 million Japanese Yen (approximately 27 million US Dollars). This grant includes Construction work, Procurement work and Technical Assistance. Construction period was from April 8th, 2016 till August 31st, 2018.

This Project will help to expand water supply facility and water supply service in urban area of Kampot city from 47% in 2013 to 92% in 2021 (which is equal to 55,874 people).
