Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Construction of Teacher Education College (TEC) in Battambang

H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport and H.E. Hidehisa HORINOUCHI, Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia presided over the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Construction of Teacher Education College (TEC) in Battambang on May 10, 2019.

The construction covers academic blocks, administration blocks, science and art labs, library, assembly halls, dormitory and provision of modern lab equipment. In addition, it is expected to complete by October 2020.

Note: Teacher Education College (TEC) in Phnom Penh and in Battambang will be constructed by the Japanese Grant Aid Project with the amount of 3,170MJY (approximately 29 million USD).

Both TEC in Phnom Penh and Battambang will play crucial roles in providing per-service BA degree and other in-service trainings with high quality of teacher education in Cambodia. We strongly hope that the graduates from TECs will contribute to improving the quality of general education in the future.
