"The Project for Improving Continuum of Care with Focus on Intrapartum and Neonatal Care (IINeoC Prject)" conducted TOT on Intrapartum Care

IINeoC Project, Ministry of Health and National Maternal and Child Health Center conducted TOT (Training of Trainers) on Intrapartum Care from 7 to 11 October. 12 Midwives working for NMCHC were joined this training course to learn how to teach the contents of "Initial Assessment Sheet (IAS)*" for women who visit health centers for delivery.

Prof. Kanal (Chair of Cambodian Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics) has strongly supported to develop IAS and he attended all the sessions of this course to give some technical advices.

For the next step, the Project and trainers of NMCHC will conduct Orientation Workshop for Provincial and Operational District Level governors and start training on IAS for midwives working at health centers in target provinces (Kampong Cham and Svay Rieng). We hope Quality of Care at Health Center level will be improved by this training.

*The project developed "Initial Assessment Sheet" which enable health center midwives to provide evidence based care for pregnant women and their families.
