Public Panel with Professor Stiglitz for Launch of “The Future of Work in Developing Countries”
Day:2026.03.10
event |
The latest book from the Joint Research with IPD titled “The Future of Work in Developing Countries ”, published in March 2026. To mark its launch, IPD will host a public panel at Sciences Po in Paris, open to the Sciences Po community in person and accessible to the public virtually.
One of the most pressing challenges in development today is employment creation in low- and middle-income countries. Combining rigorous theoretical analysis with grounded empirical research, “The Future of Work in Developing Countries” shows that job creation is not an automatic byproduct of growth but a political and institutional project. The book offers fresh insights for scholars of development, political economy, and economic history, as well as for policymakers seeking strategies for inclusive transformation in Africa and beyond.
