The Initiative for Policy Dialogue (IPD) at Columbia University and the Japan International Cooperation Agency Research Institute (JICA-RI) have been conducting a joint research project in order to produce evidence-based policy implications on African development.

Professor Ravi Kanbur, Cornel University has been involved in the joint research as one of the editors and authors of a newly published book titled "The Quality of Growth in Africa." Taking the opportunity of his visit to Japan, JICA-RI will host a seminar to discuss the issues and circumstances surrounding Africa.
