Africa Kaizen Initiative (AKI) is a 10-year initiative signed by the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and JICA in April, 2017. Through dissemination to third countries by the Centers of Excellence (CoE), the initiative aims to spread the Kaizen approach across Africa, while respecting each country’s ownership.

L'AKI est une initiative décennale signée par l'Agence de développement de l'Union africaine (AUDA-NEPAD) et la JICA en avril, 2017. Grâce à la diffusion aux pays tiers par le centre d'excellence (CoE), l’ initiative vise à répandre l'approche Kaizen à travers l'Afrique, tout en respectant l'appropriation de claques pays.

Kaizen Approach (Français suit)

The strategy of AKI, which started as an approach to improve quality and productivity, aims to contribute to improving the competitiveness of African enterprises by establishing a mechanism to disseminate the "Kaizen approach" to the African region, including improvement of business management capacity of enterprises as well as their ability to access finance.
By diffusing the Kaizen approach, JICA aims to achieve decent work for workers, and ultimately, sustainable industrial development in African countries.

La stratégie de l'AKI, qui a débuté comme une approche visant à améliorer la qualité et la productivité, vise à contribuer à l'amélioration de la compétitivité des entreprises africaines en établissant un mécanisme de diffusion de l'approche Kaizen dans la région africaine, y compris l'amélioration de la capacité de gestion des entreprises ainsi que leur capacité d'accès au financement.
En diffusant l'approche Kaizen, la JICA vise à assurer un travail décent aux travailleurs et, en fin de compte, un développement industriel durable dans les pays africains.
