Project for Improvement of Primary Education Facilities (PhaseⅠ- Ⅳ)

photo

Due to an increase in the number of students in accordance with the educational reform and the inflow of population from rural areas into the city, the shortage of educational facilities has become a serious concern, especially in Ulaanbaatar City. Some schools inevitably run with overcrowded classrooms with 50 students each or on three shifts. Furthermore, most of schools are using special classrooms or even halls in corridors to supplement the shortage of the classrooms. Thus, Government of Japan has provided the Grant Aid to quantitatively enrich basic education facilities.
