SUZUKI Donates Cars to Ministry of Education for Automobile Mechanics Training

SUZUKI (Myanmar) Motors Co., Ltd has donated practical training materials to Japan-Myanmar Aung San Vocational Training Institute (JMASVTI), which supported by JICA. And the donation ceremony was organized by JMASVTI on 8 November 2019, today at the site. The generous donation by SUZUKI Myanmar Motors included three brand new cars and car spare parts, which will be used for practical training for automobile maintenance at the institute. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Yan Naing Tun, Principal of JMASVTI, and Mr. Keiichi ASANO, President of SUZUKI (Myanmar) Motors Co., Ltd., Dr. Nay Myo Tun, Deputy Director General (DDG) of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DTVET), Ministry of Education, Mr. Nobuo IWAI, JICA Myanmar Office and JICA experts, supporting the establishment of JMASVTI, attended.

Dr. Nay Myo Tun, DDG of DTVET, expressed his gratitude to SUZUKI (Myanmar), saying "we are so grateful for SUZUKI (Mynmar)'s generous support. With these materials, the students will be able to learn more practical skills, which can be used in the real workplace."

Mr. ASANO, President of SUZUKI (Myanmar) said in his speech, "Human resource development is our priority. So, we are honored to be able to contribute to the programme to aim at the same purpose."

JAMSVTI will make an official opening in December 2019. There, 20 students for each of the two courses of Automobile Maintenance and Electrical Engineering (Industry) will start their education of 3-year diploma courses.
