Project Outline The project represents phase II of solid waste management improvement program in prioritezed cities in Peru where JICA has already supported to construct hygenic solid waste infrustructures as phase I. The project aims at closure of open-dumping sites appling environmentally-conscious technology and establishment of appropriate administrative structure. Improvement of environmental quality and living standard of the people in the target regions is expected as main outcome of the project, as well as mitigation of climate change by reducing gas emission.
