JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka held talks with Takehiko Nakao, president of the Asian Development Bank, at JICA headquarters in Tokyo on Oct. 14.
Mr. Kitaoka said that as important partners, ADB and JICA have built a structure for advancing their comprehensive partnership, including discussions in the field and between their respective headquarters, and that he would like to strengthen that relationship.
Mr. Nakao also indicated his intention to advance the two organizations' partnership. Mr. Nakao and Mr. Kitaoka discussed trends in the Asia region, including the economic outlook and the future direction of assistance to Asian countries.
