JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka met with Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, the president of Mozambique, on March 16 in Tokyo.
Mr. Kitaoka began the conversation by welcoming Mr. Nyusi to Japan for his first visit. Mr. Nyusi thanked Mr. Kitaoka for JICA's cooperation and said he has great hopes for future cooperation.
Next the two men discussed past cooperation and what it has achieved, as well as plans for future cooperation.
JICA plans to continue carrying out cooperation with Mozambique in sectors including electricity, infrastructure, agriculture, health care and education, with focus on the Nacala corridor development.
