JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka met with Laotian Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith on June 5 in Tokyo.
Prime Minister Thongloun began the talks by thanking JICA for its cooperation, which has included building infrastructure and sending volunteers to Laos. The two men then discussed future cooperation.
JICA will make efforts to forge mutual trust between the two countries. With such a relationship, JICA will continue cooperation for the socioeconomic development of Laos by strengthening the connectivity between Laos and its neighboring countries with both hard and soft infrastructure and through human resource development.
