JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka held talks with the Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte on Oct. 30 in Tokyo.

Mr. Duterte began by expressing appreciations for JICA's cooperation toward the Philippines. The two men then discussed future cooperation plans.

JICA plans to continue providing the cooperation to the Philippines in various sectors, including building high-quality infrastructure, supporting peace building in Mindanao, illegal drug countermeasures, and maritime safety.
